One thing about the South Cariboo . . . lots of snow but usually very bright beautiful days. We have ice-fishing huts for those who wish to try for one of the lake burbot ( Freshwater cod ) also known as freshwater cod. Bring your cross country skis as we have 30 km of bush trails taking you through some beautiful forest or for those who wish a real fast workout the 9 mile lake makes an excellent ski trail. For those who wish to bring their snowmobile you can access over 300 km of trails right from your cabin. If you do not have a sled of your own, they can be rented locally, but you best book them ahead of arrival to ensure availability.
Christmas and New Years are very special at the resort. Each cabin can have a tree upon request. We clear an ice rink on the lake ( depending on weather/snow conditions ) which gives the skaters an excellent opportunity to fly on our frozen lake….and after a good workout on your X-country skis, how about a nice sauna ?
